Welcome to the Design Advisory Committee page. The Design Advisory Committee is a panel of your Serene Lakes neighbors that have expertise in developing and building in the Donner Summit area and have volunteered to share that expertise with SLPOA members in developing their properties. Weather conditions are extreme here at the Summit and building codes and best practices are uniquely tailored to the area. The combined experience that the Design Advisory Committee members can offer could be invaluable to anyone developing their property in Serene Lakes.

To help property owners in Serene Lakes, the Committee has prepared a compendium of helpful development information and references that should facilitate property development. These "Green Sheets" provide helpful information concerning Placer County building codes as well as important practical advice on building for the extreme winters in the Summit area.
