What is this?
We will begin the tasting at approximately 12 noon on Sunday, June 30th, following the Parade, which is expected to begin at about 11am. All registrants MUST be present at Lot 1 for setup and service NO LATER THAN 11:30 a.m. All entrants must be SLPOA members or guests of SLPOA members. In a typical year, we have upwards of 200 tasters, so all entrants should make at least 2 crockpots worth of chili to ensure you do not run out. The chili should be fully-cooked and ready to serve when you arrive. Electrical hookups may not be available for all crockpots. As such, please be sure to come with your chili above 140-degrees F. for safety. SLPOA will provide tablecloths, paper towels, ladles, spoons and tasting cups. TO REGISTER AS A COOK: Please send Dawn Koepke an email at dkoepke@mchughgr.com NO LATER THAN Friday, June 30th at midnight. Include the following information: 1) Your name and your Teammates who should be recognized 2) Your cell phone number 3) The name and description of your chili. Tickets for Tasters will be sold onsite. Price is $4. Bring a credit card. SLPOA will be announcing winners shortly after judging. We appreciate your interest and look forward to renewing this fun competition. May the best chili team win! Awards will be given for: Best Adult Chili Best Junior Chili (15 years old or younger) Best Spirit Most Unique (ingredient) Best Overall
